In the context of the first Global Forum of the UN Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028 (UNDFF) and the recent publication on “Labelling and certification schemes for Indigenous Peoples’ Foods, FAO is hosting a hybrid event to explore the framework and policies on family farming and the relevance of tailored policies for Indigenous Peoples.
The dialogue will also showcase replicable practices of labelling and certification conducted by Indigenous People that could serve as examples for family farmers all over the world. We will contribute to this discussion by inviting Karen Mapusua, our President, and Mathew John, IFOAM Asia's President.
