Executive Director Spoke in Canada Organic Trade Association Webinar
On 12 November 2023, our Executive Director, Ravi R. Prasad spoke at the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) webinar, “Scaling Up Organic Production and Markets”. The event delved into strategies for expanding organic production and fostering global market growth through innovative solutions.
Speaking on the theme “Enabling change towards Sustainable Agriculture,”, Ravi highlighted IFOAM – Organics International’s vision, strategic approach and global network. He also shared insights into how the organization leads and supports organic initiatives and events worldwide.
In a special video message, Ravi congratulated COTA on its 50th anniversary, acknowledging the association’s steadfast support for IFOAM and its contributions to advancing organic agriculture as a key strategy for climate change adaptation and mitigation. He closed his remarks by inviting deeper collaboration between IFOAM and COTA in the future.
COTA, a membership-based organization promoting organic agriculture and products in Canada, represents stakeholders across the organic value chain, from growers and certifiers to farmers’ associations and retailers. A member of IFOAM for over a decade, COTA has played a vital role in strengthening organic agriculture globally.
