IFOAM Asia Launches Virtual Meetings For its Members in the Philippines

To proactively connect and engage with its members, IFOAM Asia launched a virtual meeting on 17 March 2021 at 15:00 (local time).  

The meeting was well received by the members and partners. There were six Philippine Mayors in attendance and they expressed their utmost support to the organic movement.

Thomas Cierpka, Senior Manager of Membership & Operations of IFOAM - Organics International presented the Organic World Congress 2021 and the General Assembly. There was an informative and fun interaction during and after the presentation with the IFOAM Asia members.

A representative from IFOAM Asia presented the different activities for the year, including the 7th ALGOA summit and 2nd GAOD Summit in October, the 4th Organic Asia Congress in Indonesia in November and the establishment of its two offices in the Philippines in Bacolod City and Cagayan de Oro City.   

The IFOAM members' meeting in the Philippines is the first of several member-country's meetings in the Asia region, with members meeting in India, China and Indonesia to shortly follow in the coming months.
