What is the Extraordinary General Assembly?
The Extraordinary General Assembly 2026 (Extraordinary GA) is an online gathering of IFOAM members held outside the regular General Assembly cycle. It is convened when important decisions need to be made that cannot wait until the next ordinary General Assembly.
We are committed to making this process as accessible as possible. Registration details for all sessions are available now in the Member Area and will be reinforced through email updates.
Members are encouraged to:
- Log in to the Feedback Forum in mid-April to share insights
- Appoint their voting delegates (for voting members) and register for the GA in June

- A live Q&A to address your questions directly.
Members attended the sessions to gain a full understanding of the proposals before the voting stages.

In this case, the Extraordinary GA in June 2026 has been called to allow members to review and vote on proposed changes to the organisation’s governance model.
